On Remembrance Day we reflect whose who were involved in the wars, or whose who lost their loved ones. We also need to learn not to repeat this tragedy and learn from the mistakes. On Remembrance Day we remember and honor the dead-those who died on the battlefields. If we don't remember our past mistakes, we could repeat them. We should remember because sometimes we forget were we went wrong and we need to remind our selves or others that there is another way to handle the situation.

Why are poppies important ?
The poppy is a recognized symbol for the soldiers that died. The poppy became popular when "In Flanders Fields: a poem written by John McCrae who was a doctor from Canadian Army Medical Corps(Later became Lieutenant-Colonel). The poem was written in the middle of the Second Battle of Ypres, in Belgium of 1915. Now the poppy is used as a symbol or emblem of remembrance because of the poem "In Flanders Field."
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead: Short days ago,
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!
Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields
Why is Remembrance Day important? What are we remembering? How will we remember?
We are remembering those who fought and died for our country, the fear and trying to understand how they faced the wars, lose of soldiers, the living conditions, and thinking about the mental, spiritual, physical hardship the soldiers have faced.
We get the opportunity to remember once a year on November 11th, by pausing for two minutes during the silent tribute. Attending ceremonies and visiting memorials. Wearing poppies, poppies are worn as a reminder of the red flower that still continues to grow in the battlefields.

- he was quickly promoted to rank of sergeant for his leadership qualities.
- a clipping of the article i got this information from \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/
In July 1916, Tull took part in the major Somme offensive. Tull survived this experience but in December 1916 he developed trench fever and was sent home to England to recover. Tull had impressed his senior officers and recommended that he should be considered for further promotion. When he recovered from his illness, instead of being sent back to France, he went to the officer training school at Gailes in Scotland. Despite military regulations forbidding "any negro or person of colour" being an officer, Tull received his commission in May, 1917.

What Were Some Curious Things in the Wars or to be Found After?
The Dogs Duty
The dogs name was Mutt (he a french bull dog), and he had the important duty of 'trench runner'he'd deliver cigarettes to the soldiers and give them comfort.
He was smuggled on board a ship and when he was found it was threatened that he would be through over board, but the soldier how had smuggled him on declared that if the dog was thrown over board so would have to as well, so at that Mutt was saved.
He was wounded twice in the war, but spent most of his time boosting the morals of the eleventh engineers.
Raining Sheep
in world war two, during Mussolini's invasion of Abyssinia, when the Italian troop were in the desperate need of supplies during their march across the Danakil desert, they were i need of having fresh meat to eat instead of packing meat and having it go bad in the heat. so a unique solution came up, some genius at military headquarters came up with the idea to strap sheep and bulls into modified harnesses and parachuting them to the soldiers, who would in which butcher them and cook them up themselves. the plan worked perfectly.
Hitlers Love Program
the Nazis were all about taking over gaining more land, more space than their own little nation, but in order to do so, they had to make their population numbers rise, so Hitler cam up with the love program, saying that from the young ages of 15 or 16, married or not, it was mandatory to have as many children as humanly possible. but sure enough this plan failed when war came around. all the resources were going toward the war, and women started having abortions, because anymore children would just be to much stress on the women. the women were working in the factories and then coming home to their house full of children wore them out fast.
so in the end, Hitlers plan to increase in Germany's population virtually destroyed the German family.

Wasn't Noticed Until 1992
the pilot that found it thought that he had crossed into some sort of portal back in time to when the Nazis were still trying to dominate the earth.
it's about 40,000 square foot swastika in the middle of pine trees.
the locals attempted to get ride of it by cutting down trees but the trees grew back and was still around up threw 2000.
And another swastika popped up in Tash-Bashat, Kyrgyzstan in 2006, this one sill stands today.

Here's a few of Hitler . . .

Fact: World War One is the Sixth Deadliest Conflicts to Happen in World History
(i wonder what the others are?)
Fact: German trenches were in stark contrast to British trenches. German trenches were built to last and included bunk beds, furniture, cupboards, water tanks with faucets, electric lights, and doorbells.
The Not of Mysterious Mystery Disappearance of Flight 19
So it turns out it not much of a mystery but instead, Lieutenant Charles Taylor lead a group of five TBM avenger planes on an exorcise and the Taylor complain that his compasses didn't work and he didn't know where he was. even though some of the junior members presumably knew where they were, but non the less it was said that Taylor had gotten lost before on exorcises, but this time he and 14 other men never came back, instead of heading back to Florida they flew out into the Atlantic ocean, run out of fuel and never returned, all because Lieutenant Charles Taylor had a horrible sense of direction . . . just like me.

Remembrance Day
Why exactly is Remembrance Day important? What are we remembering? How are we remembering?
Remembrance day is a day to remember all those who fought in war. It's the day that world war one ended, at 11 am on November 11th 1918.
To remember the millions of lives that were lost in fight for every one's freedom.
So many people will wear a poppy year round because its not something we should just give a thought to for two minutes once every year, its a major event in our world history, it'd be horrible to just forget everything that those people did for us, for everyone.
It's important because a promise was made not to forget, so that we wouldn't make the same mistakes we did, Lest we forget. nations made mistakes, and we went to war, war that killed millions, just for the sake of pride.we remember threw wearing poppies, writing stories, listening to veterans who live with the memories of war. many authors write novels of war times, they set the story time line in world war, Narnia for example was set in that time line. There's the classic soldier boy goes off to war and kisses his girlfriend or wife and children good bye, and then never returns.
The peace sign use to stand for victory, victory for winning the war until it was changed to peace.
when we think of world fighting, going to war we bounce our ideas off of WWI and WWII. We write about WWIII.
All our tragic theories and ideas of war are connected to the world wars, we remember threw our ideas and thoughts of war.
